From the Foster School to Foster Place
- 1894The Foster School opens on Main Street as Tewksbury’s third high school, named for Enoch Foster, a local businessman and farmer who helped pay for it.
- 1900It becomes the town’s elementary school.
- 1934The school is decorated for Tewksbury’s 200th anniversary, the moment on this postcard.
- Late 1990sJDS Enterprises restores the building and converts it into apartments, adding an elevator, a fitness room and a koi pond.
